COVID-19 Health & Safety Policies
Temperatures will be taken for any staff, instructor, volunteer, program participant or visitor when entering the lab. If anyone’s temperature is above 100.4, they will be required to leave.
All program participants, staff, instructors, volunteers and visitors over the age of 12 are required to wear a face covering while in the lab. Visitors or program participants under age 12 are highly encouraged to wear a face covering but it is not a requirement. In the event a participant does not have a face covering, one can be provided. If a program participant over age 12 is unable to wear a mask due to health issues, please contact SSC staff to discuss at 941-840-4394.
Laptops, lab equipment and other tools used in all programs will be sanitized before and after use using EPA approved cleaning products. Antibacterial soap is available in all restrooms to promote frequent handwashing and hand sanitizer is also available throughout the lab.
We are capping the number of participant spots available for all programs to allow for safe distancing and reduced crowding. Large gatherings for volunteers, instructors and program participants are currently postponed.
All visitors should remain socially distanced to the best of their ability when in the lab.
THANK YOU for your help keeping the lab and our community of innovators as safe as possible during this pandemic!
