The Suncoast Science Center/Faulhaber Fab Lab is committed to building a safe, judgement-free community of innovation for people of all ages and protecting the community is our top priority. We have closely monitored the status of the coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure the health and safety of our members, volunteers, program participants and visitors and are thrilled to announce our first phase of reopening which will take effect on Friday, June 12, 2020.
In an effort to best protect our community, we are putting the following policies into place:
Lab hours will be as follows until further notice:
All Fab Lab members are required to reserve equipment prior to visiting the lab. Walk-in equipment usage will not be permitted.
Any visitor who does not qualify as a lab member, volunteer or program participant may only access the lab during the Saturday tour which occurs every Saturday from 1-2pm. Visitors must register to participate in the Saturday tour: https://suncoastscience.pike13.com/schedule#. Walk-ins will not be permitted at this time.
Members and visitors should remain socially distanced when in the lab to the best of their ability.
Members and visitors are required to have their temperature checked before entering the lab. If a temperature is at or above 100.4°, the member or visitor will not be allowed to enter the lab.
At this time, members and visitors are required to wear a face mask while in the lab. If a member or visitor does not have a face mask, one will be provided.
Meet up groups are not yet permitted to resume meeting. Additional information will be provided in the next phase of reopening.
